a dancing God

From the beginning, He delights in blessing you, in empowering you to live the life He created you to experience, and in giving you everything you need to fulfill the wonderful plan He designed for your life. He’s no frugal, uptight, legalistic, cosmic killjoy... Our God is a joyful God, a dancing God, even a laughing God. He delights in seeing you happily receiving His love.

Did you believe that I loved you? by Brennan Manning

In the 48 years since I was first ambushed by Jesus, in a little chapel in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Pennsylvania, and in literally thousands of hours of prayers, meditation, silence and solitude over those years, I am now utterly convinced that on Judgment Day the Lord Jesus is going to ask each of us one question and only one question,

“Did you believe that I loved you? That I desired you? That I waited for you day after day? That I longed to hear the sound of your voice?”

The real believers there will answer, “Yes, Jesus, I believed in your love and I tried to shape my life as a response to it.”

But many of us who are so faithful in our ministry, in our practice, in our churchgoing, are gonna have to reply, “Well frankly, no, sir. I mean I never really believed it. I mean I heard a lot of wonderful sermons and teachings about it. In fact, I gave quite a few myself. But I always thought that was just a way of speaking, a kindly lie, some Christian’s pious pat on the back to cheer me on.”
And there’s the difference between the real believers and the nominal Christians that are found in our churches across the land.

No one can measure like a believer the depth and the intensity of God’s love, but at the same time no one can measure like a believer the effectiveness of our gloom, pessimism, low self-esteem, self-hatred and despair that block God’s way to us. Do you see why it is so important to lay hold of this basic truth of our faith? Because you’re only going to be as big as your own concept of God.

Remember the famous line of the French philosopher, Blaise Pascal? “God made man in His own image, and man returned the compliment.” We often make God in our own image and he winds up to be as fussy, rude, narrow-minded, legalistic, judgmental, unforgiving, and unloving as we are.
In the past couple three years I’ve preached the Gospel… (all over the world) … and honest to God, the God of so many Christians I meet is a God who is too small for me, because he is not the God of the Word, he is not the God revealed by and in Jesus Christ who this moment comes right to your seat and says,
“I have a word for you. I know your whole life story. I know every skeleton in your closet. I know every moment of sin, shame, dishonesty and degraded love that has darkened your past. Right now, I know your shallow faith, your feeble prayer life, your inconsistent discipleship.
And my word is this:
I dare you to trust that I love you just as you are and not as you should be, because you’re never gonna be as you should be.”

Changed by Love

"God's gaze is so full of mercy, favor, laughter, love, grace, compassion, revelation and wisdom. When He looks at you, He sees who you really, really are in His heart. He sees who you are now, but He also has a picture of who you're becoming, and He loves to stand in the middle place between your actual and your potential and love you into being something different."

Love & Grace

Love is an ocean; grace, an invitation to swim.

Grace poured out

Jesus' parable of the prodigal son was offensive to the Pharisees, not because the younger son rejected the father and went his own way, but because when he returned he was welcomed with great joy by the father, without a word of judgment about the younger son's previous rebellious ways.

Straight back in as a son, no questions asked. He was embraced, given a ring and slippers, and a great party thrown in his honor. The older son expected the father to be just! To treat him not as a son, but a traitor! He expected judgement, but instead he witnessed his father pour out an abundance of grace! Unfair! Unfair! Unjust even! The older brother thought.

The Pharisees believed in the coming of a messiah, but what they expected was a messiah that would offer salvation from the hands of an angry God. What Jesus revealed was something totally different, totally unexpected and deeply offensive to the religious... Jesus revealed God the Father was not angry at all. He revealed God our Father is love.

Welcome home.

God's Will is Always Healing

“We should be astonished at the goodness of God, stunned that He should bother to call us by name, our mouths wide open at His love, bewildered that at this very moment we are standing on holy ground.”― Brennan Manning

"May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long ,how high, and how deep His love really is."  - Ephesians 3:17, 18

Love can't be boxed

Love can't be boxed. On the contrary, love is the one calling us out of the boxes we've somehow wandered into. Live an out-of-the-box life. Live free. Love outrageously.

Accepted without performance

Grace carries with it the revelation that you and I are accepted by God – regardless of our performance. It is the mysterious ability of God to accept us irrespective of our successes or our failures in life.

People in this world are trained to feel valuable on the basis of what they do; they live under the tyranny of their performance. Remember when you were a child and you brought your school report home, and your brother or sister achieved more that year than you? Many children feel that acceptance by their parents depends on their performance at school, and consequently feel that their successful brothers and sisters are more accepted than they are. (Wise parents accept all their children – not based on performance, but on their intrinsic value.)

Whenever I have had to discipline my children, I have impressed upon them that I love them exactly the same whether they are good or bad. My love for them is not based on their performance, but on the fact that they are my children.

We need to understand that we have value in God, irrespective of how much we are doing for God. Even if we never read the Bible again, never witness again, never pray again, never go to church again, God would love us exactly the same as if we were doing everything perfectly!

Bringing you home

The fact is: God has not rejected you. He is not angry and out to get you. He has actually been devising ways to bring you back into His loving presence.

"All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him."

from the Bible 2 Samuel 14:14 (NLT)

there is life

In God's presence there is life (the absence of death); there is love (the absence of hate); and full joy (the absence of depression).

Toby Mac - Speak Life (video)

"Speak Life"

Somedays life feels perfect
Other days it just ain’t workin
The good, the bad, the right, the wrong
And everything in between

Though it’s crazy, amazing
We can turn our hearts with the words we say
Mountains crumble with every syllable
Hope can live or die

So speak Life, speak Life
Through the deadest darkest night
Speak Life, Speak Life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak...
You speak Life, You speak Life

Some days the tongue gets twisted
Other days my thoughts just fall apart
I do, I don’t, I will, I won’t
It’s like I’m drowning in the deep

Well it crazy to imagine
Words from our lips as the arms of compassion
Mountains crumble with every syllable
Hope can live or die

So speak Life, speak Life
Through the deadest darkest night
Speak Life, Speak Life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak...
You speak Life, You speak Life

Lift your head a little higher
Spread the love like fire
Hope will fall like rain
When you speak life with the words you say

Raise your thoughts a little higher
Use your words to inspire
Trouble falls like rain
When you speak life with the things you say

Lift your head a little higher
Spread the love like fire
Hope will fall like rain
When you speak life with the words you say

So speak Life, speak Life
Through the deadest darkest night
Speak Life, Speak Life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak...
You speak Life, You speak Life

You speak Life, You speak Life

Somedays life feels perfect

A great Quote by hris Gore - Kingdom Releasers

 A great Quote by
Chris says  this is "An unedited piece from my upcoming book...
from the chapter secrets of great faith."

As I read through the gospels in every story of the people that came to Jesus, they never came and said look at my great faith Jesus. I have the faith to be healed. But they came to Jesus because they saw the nature of His character. When they came to Jesus because they saw Him in his grace, Power and majesty, it was then that Jesus saw them in their faith. Jesus healed each and every one that came to him and once they were healed Jesus acknowledged their faith. - by Chris Gore

Come to Jesus with the faith you have. What is important is not the greatness of your faith, but the depth of his grace and love for you. - Bob Lipsys

Outrageous Grace (There's A Lot Of Pain)
By Godfrey Birtill© Thankyou Music 2000

There's a lot of pain
But a lot more healing
There's a lot of trouble
But a lot more peace
There's a lot of hate
But a lot more loving
There's a lot of sin
But a lot more grace

Oh Outrageous Grace!
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Love unfurled by heavens hand
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Through my Jesus I can stand

There's a lot of fear
But a lot more freedom
There's a lot of darkness
But a lot more light
There's a lot of cloud
But a lot more vision
There's a lot of perishing
But a lot more Life!

Oh Outrageous Grace!
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Love unfurled by heavens hand
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Oh Outrageous Grace!
Through my Jesus I can stand

There's an enemy
That seeks to kill what it can't control
It twists and turns
Making mountains out of molehills
But I will call on the Lord
Who is worthy of praise
I run to Him and I am saved!

Immersed in Love

God is love. Pure love. And He wants to lavish His love on you. He is not looking for more servants to add to His Kingdom but more children to fill His house. He wants to be in relationship with you, not because you deserve it but just because He made you, and is "head over heels" in love with you.

God Loves You. And He is the Father you have been looking for all your life.

Hope does not dissapoint

".... hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Romans 5:5 (NIV) It is time to rekindle the hopes that God has placed into your spirit. It is time they are set on fire by the Holy Spirit.

The floods in Australia continue

With ¾ of the state of Queensland Wrecked by floods, the Capital City Brisbane and its surrounds are now flooding. In the next 2 days 7500+ homes and businesses are expected to go under water in the city. Yesterday an 8m (26 foot)wall of water hit the heart of the city of Toowoomba. 10 people have been confirmed dead, at least 78 are still missing. They only had 10 minutes notice. A super-storm released an enormous amount of rain close to the city. Toowoomba is a city of 90 000 people and serves a rural population of 250 000. Most of the area is under water. One third of Ipswich, a city of 162000 people, 40km (25miles) from Brisbane will soon be submerged. The river is running through this city at a height of 22m (72 feet). Some country towns have been totally submerged on 3 occasions since Christmas. The whole situation is totally unreal. Since Christmas 70 towns have been devastated. Many others have been damaged. The rain is still pouring down.

Please pray for us. What to pray?
In hours of TV coverage not one political leader has called for prayer or has prayed. God has not even been mentioned. This is Australia, “we will work it out for ourselves,” is our motto. Please pray that we will come to know the love of our Father, God. We need to soak in His love. We need to know Him. We are truly a lost and Fatherless nation. How much God wants to gather this nation in His arms and love them.
Lord call us into your arms.

Rick Renner, a missionary to Russia and Greek Scholar, translates John 1:5 as “Darkness does not have the ability to suppress or hold the light under its domain.” He adds “ Even in what seems to be the darkest or bleakest situation the efforts of evil will always be thwarted by the prevailing power of God’s light.” As Australian Christians lets pray for a revelation of the goodness, the light and the love of God over our suffering communities. God is not limited by the darkness of our circumstances. He shines out in the darkness…

I just want to be where You are

I just want to be where You are,
dwelling daily in Your presence
I don't want to worship from afar,
draw me near to where You are

Lord keep on bringing us closer to your heart.
There we find Life, Joy, Peace, and Love and
A Father who Knows us and Loves us.
The Lord Jesus who died for us to make us right with God
And the Holy Spirit who asks us to come on the most
incredible journey of our lives.

Being Normal

"I have come to see that the normal Christian life means miracles, spiritual intervention and revelation. It means peace, joy, love, a sense of well-being and purpose - all these traits that ellude so many Christians. Written into the spiritual DNA of every believer is an appetite for the impossible that cannot be ignored or wished away. The Holy Spirit, the very Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, making it impossible for us to be content with what we can only see, hear, touch, taste and smell. Our hearts know there is much more to life than what we perceive with our senses; we are spiritually agitated by the lack of connection with the realm of the supernatural".

Bill Johnson - "The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind" - Destiny Image, Shippensburg (2005) - (p31).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The statement “He / She lived a normal Christian Life” now has a much deeper meaning. Seek God so that this is how people will remember you.
Be Blessed in Jesus

Love finds you

We think that we will find love by being strong,
by getting our act together,
by changing ourselves into “better” people.

Yet, Love finds us when we are weak,
when we are lost and struggling,
when our life is falling apart because
of our own decisions and choices.

The Father's Love is Love that finds you.

A Word for fire ravaged Victoria

The fires destroying Victoria at present
will one day be insignificant when compared with
the love and blessing God will pour out in response
to this disaster.

The thief comes only to kill and steal and destroy,
but I (Jesus) have come so that you may have life
and experience it to the full. John 10:10

The thief has had his day of destruction.
God is about to break out with healing and restoration.

Pour out your healing love Lord and bring your life
to southern Australia in a big way.

Lots of love to you from the Father
Bob Lipsys
