You are now light

Christ did not only take you out of darkness, He took darkness out of you. You are now light.

The New Ecstatics  quote

If you belong to Christ (and we all do) then you are Abraham's seed and HEIRS according to the PROMISE:
What promise is that?
'In you shall ALL families of the earth be blessed.'
Sounds like the heart of God has always included ALL families...
Gen 12:1-3/Acts 3:25/ Rom 4:18/ Gal 3:8, 14, 29

Nothing like a little Bible study for breakfast on a Monday morning -
Co-Heirs with Christ Have faith in God (the Hebrew word faith is a picture of a little baby suckling at his mothers breast/at rest, fully satisfied, totally dependent upon, at peace, content )...

A Life That Counts

"Lord, make me a crisis man. Let me not be a mile-post on a single road, but make me a fork that men must turn one way or another in facing Christ in me." Jim Elliott (Martyred Missionary to Ecuador 1927 – 1956)

Destiny

"God did not put us on earth to be losers."
Quote from "CSI" TV program.

What a great quote which lines up with the Bible.

Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us.

Romans 8:37-38 (NLT)
37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

What about that situation today which crushed your spirit and left you feeling broken? Take down that white flag. The Bible says that God has placed you in this situation to conquer not to surrender. Victory is yours, through Jesus. Ask God to show you how to walk in that victory. Bob Lipsys, Australia

Romans 8:37-39 (MSG)
37 None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. 38 I'm absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, 39 high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Keep praying. Never give up

Jesus said that we should keep praying and never give up. He said that God would hear and positively answer the prayers that He has put on our hearts. That is what praying “according to God’s will” means. It is not an “opt out clause” or excuse for unanswered prayer. It is there to give the person of faith certainty in that their Holy Spirit inspired prayers will be answered.

What has God put on your heart to pray?
Blessings,
Bob Lipsys.

Here is a true story about persisting in prayer (The Book's reference is given below.)

Roger Simms, hitchhiking his way home, would never forget the date--May 7. His heavy suitcase made Roger tired. He was anxious to take off his army uniform once and for all. Flashing the hitchhiking sign to the oncoming car, he lost hope when he saw it was a black, sleek, new Cadillac. To his surprise the car stopped. The passenger door opened. He ran toward the car, tossed his suitcase in the back, and thanked the handsome, well-dressed man as he slid into the front seat. "Going home for keeps?" "Sure am," Roger responded. "Well, you’re in luck if you’re going to Chicago." "Not quite that far. Do you live in Chicago?" "I have a business there. My name is Hanover."

After talking about many things, Roger, a Christian, felt a compulsion to witness to this fifty-ish, apparently successful businessman about Christ. But he kept putting it off, till he realized he was just thirty minutes from his home. It was now or never. So, Roger cleared his throat, "Mr. Hanover, I would like to talk to you about something very important." He then proceeded to explain the way of salvation, ultimately asking Mr. Hanover if he would like to receive Christ as his Saviour. To Roger’s astonishment the Cadillac pulled over to the side of the road. Roger thought he was going to be ejected from the car. But the businessman bowed his head and received Christ, then thanked Roger. "This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me."

Five years went by, Roger married, had a two-year-old boy, and a business of his own. Packing his suitcase for a business trip to Chicago, he found the small, white business card Hanover had given him five years before. In Chicago he looked up Hanover Enterprises. A receptionist told him it was impossible to see Mr. Hanover, but he could see Mrs. Hanover. A little confused as to what was going on, he was ushered into a lovely office and found himself facing a keen-eyed woman in her fifties. She extended her hand. "You knew my husband?" Roger told how her husband had given him a ride when hitchhiking home after the war. "Can you tell me when that was?" "It was May 7, five years ago, the day I was discharged from the army." "Anything special about that day?" Roger hesitated. Should he mention giving his witness? Since he had come so far, he might as well take the plunge. "Mrs. Hanover, I explained the gospel. He pulled over to the side of the road and wept against the steering wheel. He gave his life to Christ that day."

Explosive sobs shook Mrs Hanover’s body. Getting a grip on herself, she sobbed, "I had prayed for my husband’s salvation for years. I believed God would save him." "And," said Roger, "Where is your husband, Mrs. Hanover?" "He’s dead," she wept, struggling with words. "He was in a car crash after he let you out of the car. He never got home. You see--I thought God had not kept His promise." Sobbing uncontrollably, she added, "I stopped living for God five years ago because I thought He had not kept His word!" [J. What does a Christ Follower do in a recession?

What does the "Christ Follower" do in a recession? What does the Christ follower do when things go south? What does the Christ follower do when things don’t look so good? Here is a great message for followers of the Lord Jesus, by Greg Johnson. Be Blessed....Bob Lipsys

What does the "Christ Follower" do in a recession?

A message by Greg Johnson www.LovingGodFellowship.org

The Christ follower does the same thing in the bad times as they do in the good times – they bear good fruit. They continue the ministry of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. They minister at the point of need. They make a difference in their day.

Find encouragement today from God’s Word. (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV) ""But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

The Christ follower lives by faith. Their trust is in Jesus, the One they follow. They realize that Jesus is the author of their faith and He is continually perfecting their faith as they follow Him from earth to glory. (Hebrews 12:2 NIV) "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

The Christ follower is rooted and grounded in God’s Word. Just as a tree by a stream is rooted and grounded in a fashion to draw strength and refreshment from the stream, the Christ follower is rooted and grounded in God’s Word. They read it. They study it. They listen to it preached. They listen to it taught. They memorize it. They hide it in their heart. The Christ follower draws strength and refreshment from the water of the Word. When the heat intensifies, they don’t wilt and whither, because they are rooted and grounded in God’s Word.

The Christ follower does not live in worry or fear. They learn to release all of that to God in their place of prayer. They continue to trust in the One they follower. He is their Good Shepherd. (Psalms 23 NIV) "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. {2} He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, {3} he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. {4} Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. {5} You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. {6} Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

The Christ follower bears good fruit. No matter what goes on around them, the Christ follower bears good fruit. In the good times and in the bad times, in the hot and in the cold, on the mountain top and in the valley, in the dessert and in the oasis, the Christ follower never fails to bear good fruit.

What does a Christ follower do in a recession? The same thing they always do. They bear good fruit. They can do this because they live by faith in Jesus, they stay in God’s Word and they refuse to live in worry and fear. And God blesses them with more of His amazing grace and shows the world around them that His grace is truly all sufficient.

Be blessed today as you trust in Jesus. Amen!

Know that you are loved,

Greg Johnson
