Teenagers are full of dreams for the future, and ours are no exception. 2009 saw some of these dreams begin to take on “substance” as their lives were launched out in new directions. It is good to see faith working in each of them, giving them positive expectations. They live life confidently knowing that God has a plan and a destiny for their lives and that He is their loving heavenly Father who will bring about the best for them. They live with an expectation that God will open doors for them and that He will provide for their needs.
Perhaps we wish we were all teenagers full of dreams rather then “seasoned” individuals who have let our dreams “evaporate” as the realities and demands of every day living have sucked our Spirits dry. But this condition is not God’s will for us. According to God, dreaming is not confined to the young. He pours out His Spirit on us so that we can dream again. According to God the Holy Spirit gets older people dreaming. Acts 2:17-18 (MSG) "In the Last Days," God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters; Your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. When the time comes, I'll pour out my Spirit On those who serve me, both men and women, and they'll prophesy.
Christian author James Goll writes: “God is a dreamer and He is looking for people who will dream His dreams with Him.”
